Q: Are there any fees or service charges associated with a regular checking account?
A: No. Dakota Prairie Bank’s regular checking account does not have a minimum monthly balance requirement to avoid charging service fees.
Q: How much coverage does FDIC insurance provide on my deposit accounts?
A: The basic insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor per insured bank. If you or your family have deposits at one insured bank totaling more than $250,000, you should know that different ownership categories of accounts are separately insured. You may qualify for more than $250,000 in coverage at one insured bank if you own deposit accounts in different ownership categories. Common Bank Deposit Ownership categories include single accounts, self-directed retirement accounts, joint accounts and revocable trust accounts. The FDIC does not insure the money you invest in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, life insurance policies or annuities. Q: Can I do most of my banking by computer?
A: Dakota Prairie Bank offers a variety of free online banking services. Our Internet Banking service provides you with online access to your Dakota Prairie Bank accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With our Internet Banking you can view balances, transfer funds between accounts, view transactions, view your statements, re-order checks and more.
Q: Can I get information about my account by phone?
A: Yes. By calling any of the branch locations during regular business hours, Dakota Prairie Bank staff can review your account with you and answer your questions.
Q: Are wire transfers possible to and from my Dakota Prairie Bank account?
A: Yes. Funds can be transferred to and from Dakota Prairie Bank accounts by wire transfer. If you need to wire funds please contact the bank for wire instructions.
Q: How do I make a deposit to my account from a remote location?
A: You can do most of your banking by using direct deposit or ACH (Automated Clearing House) transactions. Individuals may also mail their deposits to Dakota Prairie Bank. We have available Remote Deposit Capture for a monthly fee for our Cash Management customers. For more information please call us at any of our locations.
Q: Are there any fees to use my Advantage ATM/Checkcard?
A: When you use your Advantage ATM card for a cash withdrawal at an ATM displaying the Advantage Privileged status logo, to make a point of sale purchase, or to get cash back with a point of sale purchase, there is no service fee associated with the transaction. If you use your card at an ATM outside of the Advantage network, or at a non Privileged status Advantage ATM you may be charged a service fee for the transaction. Q: How do I sign up for Internet Banking?
A: You may complete an application by stopping at any of our branch locations, or complete an Internet Banking application on our Web site. Click on the Internet Banking link and then click on personal enrollment. Once your request is received, we will enable your accounts for access. You will receive your login information (Temporary Password) in the mail within a few days.
Q: Can I view a demonstration of Internet Banking before I sign up?
A: Yes. We have an Internet Banking Demo available for you to review.
Q: How frequently is my account updated?
A: Dakota Prairie Bank processes deposits and withdrawals to your account throughout the day. The Current Day Activity will show you transactions being presented on your account the current business day.
Q: Can I transfer funds through Internet Banking?
A: Transferring funds is one of the main features of Internet Banking. You could be anywhere in the world and with access to the Internet, you can access your account information and transfer funds. Funds can be transferred between your Dakota Prairie Bank checking and savings accounts. You may perform On Demand transfers as well as set up recurring transfers that will automatically be processed based on the criteria you select.
Q: Can I make a payment to my Ready Reserve or loan?
A: Yes. Pay down your Ready Reserve or make your Dakota Prairie Bank loan payment by completing a transfer from your Dakota Prairie Bank checking or savings account to your ready reserve or loan account.
Q: Can I look at my transactions at any time?
A: This is the greatest benefit of Internet Banking. You may access your account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the world as long as you have Internet access.
Q: Is there a fee for Internet Banking?
A: Internet Banking is a service Dakota Prairie Bank provides to our customers at no charge.
